If you've initiated an Ethereum transaction using Rabby Wallet and it's stuck due to low gas fees, there's a straightforward method to expedite it. By leveraging Rabby's built-in features and your BitBox02 hardware wallet, you can increase the transaction's gas fee, prompting faster processing.
Prerequisites
Before proceeding, ensure you have:
- A BitBox02 Multi edition hardware wallet.
- The latest version of BitBoxApp installed.
- Its recommended to use Google Chrome or Brave browser.
- If you are using a different browser, the BitBoxBridge must be installed:
- Rabby Wallet extension installed and set up.
Note: If you're new to Rabby, please follow our guide on How to use your BitBox02 with Rabby.
Step-by-Step guide to speed up the transaction
Open Rabby Wallet:
- Click on the Rabby extension icon in your browser toolbar to launch the wallet.
Access pending transactions:
- In the Rabby interface, locate and click on the "Pending" section at the top right corner.
Initiate the speed-up process:
- Find the transaction you wish to accelerate.
- Click on the lightning bolt icon adjacent to the transaction. This action prompts Rabby to create a new transaction with a higher gas fee.
Select a new gas fee:
- A window will appear displaying gas fee options: Standard, Fast, and Instant.
- Choose one of these predefined options to set a higher gas fee.
- Click "Proceed" to continue.
Confirm on BitBox02:
- Your BitBox02 will prompt you to confirm the new transaction details.
- Carefully verify the amount, recipient address, and gas fee.
- Once confirmed, approve the transaction on your BitBox02 device.
By following these steps, Rabby will broadcast the new transaction with the increased gas fee, effectively replacing the original pending transaction. This process utilizes the same nonce, ensuring that only one transaction is processed and you won't incur additional gas costs for the original transaction.
